The interesting point-of-view where the Europeans actually switched the northern side down and the southward side up to make Europe became the dominant thing or the “N part” of compass.
It thus making Europe feels like the ruler of civilization, whereas the map was actually inspired by the first maker of it, Al Idrisi from medieval Morocco who put Africa on top of Europe.
